Need for the Applicator

Pocket Gophers and Moles are voracious and feed on any type of vegetation found underground. They destroy food trees by gnawing away the roots, and they also ravage tuber and bulb gardens. Placing poison bait directly in the gopher’s tunnel with a minimum of disturbance is the most effective method of control. Pocket gophers and moles are active year-round, but the best time for baiting is in late winter and early spring when the soil softens, just before the pocket gophers reproduce and have young.

Gopher and Mole Baits Contain Poison! Bait can be fatal to birds and animals. Follow all bait manufacturers’ precautionary instructions carefully. Keep out of reach of children.

Advantages of Using the Gopher/Mole Bait Applicator

  • Injects poison underground directly into tunnels

  • Keeps poison away from children and pets

  • Eliminates handling the bait and most messy spills

  • Improved larger barrel accommodates most common baits

  • All steel, guaranteed forever

Operating Instructions

  1. Unscrew wing nut and remove cap.

  2. Pour bait into reservoir.

  3. Replace cap and tighten wing nut.

  4. Locate tunnels by probing around fresh dirt mounds. Probe tip will “drop” when tunnel is found.

  5. Deposit bait by turning crank arm twice.

  6. Flatten out mounds. If no more appear the gopher or mole is gone.
