Importance of Edging Your Lawn

Trimming lawn edges keeps the grass looking neat and prevents it from spreading beyond its border. For best results, lawn edges should be re-cut each spring. Tip: For a straight edge, cut against a plank of wood; for a curve, trim along a rope laid on the ground. Remove excess soil to leave a vertical edge measuring 2-3" (5-7.5cm) deep. After mowing, trim any grass that overhangs the edges with long-handled edging shears or a rotary trimmer.

Operating Instructions

1. Soften dry, compacted soil with water before edging.

2. To cut straight down, place foot forward on pedal and push down along edge.

3. For a rocking motion, turn Step Edger sideways and place foot on pedal parallel to blade. Push down and rock for easier cutting.
